Adaware, which is a product of cybersecurity firm Lavasoft, (formerly known as Ad-Aware) It was created to fight the various types of rogue apps and privacy invasions of which the majority of users are not aware. This includes programs that track your browsing habits, courses that block the web page that opens your browser and applications that show annoying advertisements at the most inconvenient times. This program is free and comes with various features that will boost your device’s security and ensure that it runs smoothly.
In our tests, adaware was able to identify the majority of the malware we tried to throw at it. However, it was unable to assist in getting rid of certain malware. The program does include several useful extras such as a privacy monitor a registry scanner, a file shredder, and advanced monitoring of networks. Adaware doesn’t offer as much protection as the best antivirus software.
The last time adaware participated in AV-Test lab tests, it was able to block only ninety-five. The threat rate was 4% for 0-day threats and 97% of known threats. These aren’t terrible scores but they don’t come close to what the best security suites can accomplish.
Users who want adaware to perform better, should look at the alternatives. We recommend Kaspersky, Bitdefender and others due to their reliability in real-world testing. Additionally, only Pro and zonealarm review Total plan users have access to online technical and customer support, which may be a little disappointing for some users. The company does provide a range of information and frequently asked questions on its website, though.
